  • Sew foam questions for all the trimmers
Ok maybe its a down under thing 3 types of flutes top sewin.
Back sewen wich means the stitching is not seen.
And back sewen and filled where the vinyl is stithced to the backing material then foam is inserted into the pocket that is created using two strips of alloy then the strips are removed to leave the foam filling the pocket.
I will try and find some examples and maybe a translation for you on terminology.
  • Seat Heaters
Ok i haven't seen them here
  • Seat Heaters
I have had some bad experience with seat heaters removed the leather cover to find they had almost caught fire scorch markes all over the cushion so the customer had me remove the heaters and repair the foam

  • Sew foam questions for all the trimmers
Calico is a cotton material gives the flutes a fuller look and the hold longer can look at a job done 5to10 years later and they have held their form
  • Sew foam questions for all the trimmers
Yep perimeter stitch then stitch in futes or patterns i also back every thing with calico.
Just a habit i think it looks nicer than relying on the ceracks backing of the foam

  • New member introduction and question on creating a good estimate.
You need to work out costing of time eg what you need to charge to keep the doors open so things like lease, utility's matainance of equipment.
Break it down into say a 40hr week (we wish).
So you take cost of rent+power and divide that by 40 and thats just keeping the door open and lights on.
