I’ve noticed it happening on 138…207….277…. Bonded thread …. It makes for inconsistent tension issues.I will manually un thread the roll off the cone then re roll it onto the spool…. It’s a pain but it seemed to solve the problem
I’ve matched it with ultra leather sample cards…. I’ve repaired a few Tesla seats …. Black and white…. Ultra leather has a few grain available… Keyston brothers sells it
There’s a product line sold from a company called simalpha... I have used there water based products with good results..... it has a activator to speed up adhesion if needed ....because cold weather can slow drying times.... they are here in the U.S....... hopefully this helps
Sand them level.... I got tired off using sanding discs... I’ve been using a wire wheel that is usually used for cleaning up metal... be careful it’s pretty aggressive..... I use the side of the wire wheel.... it doesn’t wear out like sanding discs do
I’ve used them when necessary... I always tell my customers it’s a crap shoot... sometimes I get samples ... sometimes not.... hard faced cloths can be a problem when they age ... they can tear .... customer service is not great
