    Hey guys,

There's an ongoing debate here at my shop about the direction the nap of the fabric should lay on the seat cushion when using Velour or like materials.... So I am presenting this question to The Hog Ring member forum.
    1. Which way should the nap run on the seat cushion when using velour or like fabrics? (15 votes)
Should the nap run from the back of the seat cushion and go towards the front (rollover edge)
        67%
Should the nap run from the front of the cushion towards the back
        33%

Back panel I'll run downwards, base panel towards the back.So both into the back to base join.(Unless I forget or get confused!).

The nap should run down and out so you dont break (rub against) the nap during ingress and egress. Often times it looks better to run it the other way but it wont wear well.

The nap should be Smooth when you run your hand down the lean back and to the front of the bottom cushion.

I was taught that the nap should hold you in the seat. If it is the other way around you will slide out of the seat/chair.
