I have a customer that wants heated seats on a 60’s era pick up truck. He is worried that the switches won’t fit in with the vehicle era. Does anyone know of quality seat heaters that come with an old fashion/classic looking switch? Or are the switches for seat heaters electromechanical and I can use any type switch? I don’t know if seat heater switches have electronics built into them to control the seat heaters or if I can use a standard switch to control a module that controls the seat heaters. Has anyone used different switches than what came with the seat heaters to keep with the classic car feel?
I don't know of any but in those situation and even in newer vehicles I have sourced stock switches so it looks factory. Maybe you can find a switch for something else from that era so it looks original.
Thanks for the comments! I will have to look at both of those options when I get the truck in. If I can find a place to put the switch out of sight that would be easiest I believe.
I will have to look at that. I there a reputable source for seat heaters? I see them selling for anywhere from $39 up to $500 a heater. What heaters have installers have good results with?
