I want to thank Mal Maher, NC Sewing Machines, Brodie Smith, Douglas Interior Products and Aaron Laithwaite, Hydes Leather for their dedication to our industry. These gentlemen and their teams have gone way beyond to bring trimmers together to become more professional.
They have organizied competitions to help everyone step up their skills and I am impressed with the level of craftsmanship that has presented itself. Never in the 46 years I have been trimming cars has this type of recognition been rewarded like at this year’s SEMA show.
Most of all of the networking and friendships that are forming are bringing the trade together.
Well said Fred, Thanks to these companies our industry is starting to get some recognition. And thanks also go to the trimmers that are elevating our craft to the next level.
We definitely cosign that! @Mal Maher at NC, Nick Roberts and Brodie Smith at Douglass and Aaron Laithwaite at Hydes did an amazing job bringing the auto upholstery community together at this year's SEMA Show.
I can't recall a time when this industry has been so inclusive, encouraging and supportive.
These manufacturers and suppliers are creating a space for trimmers to come together, network and forge professional and personal relationships.
And trimmers have been so cool about it too. Long gone are the days when pros hoarded tips and tricks. We're all learning from one another, providing constructive feedback on each others' projects, and welcoming advice.
