• Not auto but interesting...
    yes...they are Louisville sluggers.
  • Custom made tools and jigs
I'm gonna have to make a fee of the tuck tools you have. Do they work great on door panels? I have the hardest time with those.
  • Business software
Good question. I do everything the old fashion way but I would like something faster. I am trying to get into a night class on this and a business class.
  • Not auto but interesting...
no he just wants them all restitched. Took only a few hours start to finish. I just thought they were interesting. Not sure if I would have these in my house lol

Staple remover. Made out of a flat tip screwdriver.
I do like everyone else's made tools. Of course we always turn old screwdrivers into hole punchers
  • Where to find...
thank you I will give them a call tomorrow
  • Marine vinyl
I like a lot of the marine style...I also heard it doesn't mold as fast..
  • Where to find...
    Yes that's the name...
  • Marine vinyl
Thanks guys....I have been redoing a GMC Jimmy and we did use a marine vinyl on the seats and door panels. Had some come into my shop and asked why I used marine vinyl on the seats...we to be honest we liked the carbon fiber look. Lol. zhd4mc0r5rhbli3x.jpg
  • Thoughts on cutting foam
I like the bandsaws...I have a small small shop but I'm able to wheel it out of the way. I think mine is only 7". I want to get a bigger one but I need to be able to put wheels on it to move it.
  • Thoughts on cutting foam
I use a bad saw and a carving knife. I have used sailrites foam cutting tool but I'm not that great at using those. The price on them is not too bad.

  • Customer
Thank you everyone...I did get the pain out of my shop...happy to report he paid me an extra 30 bucks. I will print the Fred posted. I had one guy tell me he was gonna sue me cause I was taking to long to do his searay. I just said "Sue me for what? Going to slow!? Then tried to get out of his 1600 dollar balance saying my work didn't look right. Said he was only gonna give me $300. I just laughed and said pay the balance or I can remove my work...let's just say a razor blade went into the vinyl. People want it done for nothing like uh hello my time is valuable. I'm a single mom of four kids this is how I take care of them.

Thank you again for letting me know how you guys deal with pushy customers. I've been doing this for years but just opened my shop a year ago.
I've collected a few boat companies which are the best customers...had a few pains but still here in my little home in the wall shop. ❤
  • Why are so many shops offline?
I am a one person shop....I do it all. I do have a Facebook but don't keep up with so I don't add to my work load with a website. My kids are the extra hands only in the summer. Mine is by word of mouth or they are at one of the other shops in this tiny shopping center I'm in. I have only had mine open for a year, so with that said I don't stay booked up but I would love ideas on how to keep them coming in. I know my work is good, I just get a lot of "that's expensive" or "I can do it myself cheaper" or they just waste my time thinking of getting it done
  • Does anyone know....

I looked at this earlier today....there is one guy in this area that has the style so we are waiting on a picture from him. I will post when we get it. We got a car to turn into a lowrider as a family project. And that's the style my husband wants to go with....I'm not fond of it but something custom I do want to do.
  • Cycle seat
    I will...thank you
  • Removing stains from vinyl
I made the mistake of using goof off had to redo the whole seat :'(
  • Cycle seat
I want to do custom stuff but customers are just standard....but I find things to make custom then sell it.
That seat looks great....I'm doing one myself.
  • Does anyone know....
Thank you Jim. I did see what I think it was in some lowriders. This is one of those "no one knows what to call it" styles...lol. again thank you.
