when i used to watch gabe all those years ago when he was doing boyd coddingtons work i couldnt get my head round how i was getting away with doing the kind of work he was doing !!!!!!!!until i met him and asked about it so since then ive been wanting it and since ive been using it i wont use anything else .

it might be strong but i find you cant lift it off and on and off again like you can with weldwwod untill your happy then use heat for it to stick properly ! i find the alpha doesnt give you a chance to do that without damage . also 5 gallons of alpha is almost twice the price of a 5 gallon tin of weldwood

it was all looking positive and the only way of doing it was buy me purchasing £10k worth of glue !!!!!!!!!! i was going to take that gamble but at the end of it all they wouldn't do it because it was flammable , so yet again if i want to by drugs , passports , guns , explosives or traffic people it doesn't seem to be a problem but a legitimate company wanting to buy products to make there business run is a big NO NO .

so looks like ive got to lie to my customers and tell them that there headlining wont fall down knowing that it will because im using uk glue !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if it happens it will be 5 gallon tins as only other size is 1ltr !! are you using just a normal spray gun or pressure pot ? one of the best things ive done is moving to pressure pot !!!!!!!!!!! once your set up there is no way you will go back

i remove more than i fit !!!!!!!!!!!!! might be comfy but after time they brake up and as the density is different to the rest of the foam it ends up showing through the cover even with a scrim topper

to be honest years ago when i did alot of hot hatch car audio and stealth shelfs i kept all the grills as no one wanted them , some use those and spray with fake chrome or colour code them to the leather .
i have a contact in uk that does the smart parts stuff but its twice the price !!!!

if you dont have the old headliner for the type 2 id just buy a new replacement one which will be more cost effective from west coast metric or vw heritage , as for the 103e pop i have template for that and sell kits

ive been trading for 27 years and over that period ive employed 9 different people that all have experience !!!!!!!!!!! not many lasted long , one guy had more years under his belt , more tools than me and he lasted 3 weeks !!!!!!!! his work was shocking . not that many young guys getting in to but at least in the states you are doing these custom courses but nothing in the uk like that so it will only be self taught guys n gals

id quite happily shut my shop in uk to jump the pond for that kind of money
