The Statute of Limitations has ended on this crazy Porsche job so I can now give a brief account of what happened. Back In 2020 I got a call from a customer wanting to do a color change on his new low mileage 2019 Porsche 911 Targa 4s. The factory interior color was a light grey leather with dark blue dash and door tops. Super nice guy from New York City, lived in Sunny Isle, Florida.

He wanted to change it to white leather with matching dark blue accents, piping, stitching and the Porsche logo in the headrests. I knew anything German was going to be a major pain and this one fit the bill in spades. Working with F1 Imports and Exotics also in Naples, Florida who did all the interior removal, disassembled the door panels that were put together with plastic rivets and epoxy. removed the center console, the entire rear section, some dash pieces and reassembled the interior when it was finished.

The interior pieces that were done in pure white leather were a major headache. The seats had heating elements. The door panels had several separate pieces that needed to be stripped, cleaned and foamed before recovering. As well as the center console, dash pieces, rear seats, rear quarter panels and misc. trim pieces.

The job took over 4 months from start to finish. The customer however was one that you wished you had 10 of, in no hurry, money was never an issue, happy with everything that was done. 
Everybody was paid in full, I notified him it was done and ready for pickup. He said somebody will be by to pick it up. The next morning a guy I never saw before walks in the shop and says is this Concours Interiors, I'm Special Agent So-In-So with the FBI, flashes a badge and says I have a warrant and  I'm here to seize this vehicle.

As if this job wasn't a big enough headache, now this. Turns out the guy was under indictment for penny stock manipulation, mail fraud and money laundering. All his assets were seized, cars, yacht, his 5 million dollar condo in Sunny Isle and house in The Hamptons. He never got to drive the car let alone even see it. The agent said it will be going up for auction. This is a True Story.
