We have all found ourselves with a top that is impossible to lock by yourself after an install. Just finished a Honda S2000 glass retrofit kit. No one around( sometimes I will even grab the UPS driver) to help lock it. Ok back to the point, I took like 2 yards of black 1 inch webbing, slid one end down behind lower door hinge then up and around top frame. Tied both ends together. Slid a small hammer between the straps and just wound until the frame came forward and the hooks just fell into place. Poor mans no damage come along!.
Rich mans method Is to steam first, then use Rachet straps hooked around lower door hinge . I have done some tops that even two people could barely hook . Works better than Superman
