Which company do you guys recommend to buy convertible tops from? So far I only know/researched the following companies; GAHH, Robbins, EZ-On, Sierra, TopsOnline, BAS.
I would like to know your experiences and overall quality of the tops you bought from whichever company you use and their customer service quality as well. Thanks in advance.
I buy the majority of my tops from EZ-On. I really like the company, customer service is great, pricing is very competitive. Kits are well made, usually include installation instructions, any rivets needed, moleskin protective pieces for the bows of the top. Really great company to deal with!
I have used tops from the manufacturers that you have listed and more.
There used to be preferred manufacturers for European cars and other ones for Domestic(USA made) cars. This tendency seems to have slowly faded away.
GAHH, Robbins, EZon and Sierra are manufacturing companies that are owned by one parent company and make great tops. The Sierra tops have become a "go to" preference to be sold online by companies like Amazon and others. They are inexpensive, but fit well and in my opinion have their place in the tops world. When you have a customer bring one in to your shop to install, you will notice a difference.
I also like to install tops from Kee Auto Tops and Electron, both family owned businesses that make tops that fit well and have great customer service.
I don't know if you have a reliable distributor in Istanbul, but I prefer to buy through distributors who have my back and can spring into action and send me another top pronto if I have a problem.
Only one place to get a quality top is ELECTRON TOP!! TRUE Stuff, real deal, go to the friendly ones at Electron, there they KNOW WHAT YOU WANT! THE CAPTAIN
Electron tops for domestic. I have found that I like the fit of GAHH for the European cars better.
I did have a domestic car that I ordered from GAHH as electron did not have the brackets to make the top and wanted me to cut them out, send it in all while the car would have been taking up shop space. Which was a no-go for me.
