In Ireland at the moment there is zero training in Auto upholstery, so what I've learned in Auto upholstery I picked up from a years experience I gained in Chicago when I moved over there. My question is is there anywhere that does online courses for sewing machines, when I came home I took the plunge and both a Juki DU-1181N and have been practicing on the machine but there is stuff I still don't know about the machine or how to improve my sewing.

For sewing cechaflo has great videos on YouTube or for purchase. The luckyneedle also has some on YouTube and for purchase. Sid chavers also has classes for purchase. As for machines and how they work, I’m not sure

For just sewing machines I usually search for a specific machine. But thejasonofalltrades has a bunch of videos on all types of machines. He also has some little tips and tutorials. Another channel is sail rites, yes they pimp their wares but they do have some good project videos too.

I find leatherworker.net forum is always useful for sewing machine help.

Nothing beats practice. Get used to the feel of your machine. Learn to thread it, change a bobbin without looking and then move on to learning more advanced stitching.

Acquiring more feet, binders and more machines will come as you advance your skills. Do not rush the process.
