'57 T-bird hardtop headliner

I'm doing a headliner in a hard-top equipped '57 T-bird. There is currently no trim finishing the perimeter of the liner. It looks like it would take wire-on or hidem, as well as some type of escutcheon pieces at the corners. It looks like those chrome corners are available from any number of supply houses. Does anyone know what was originally used to finish the liner ?

ive done one but cant remember how I finished !!!!! I will dig out the pics over the weekend and put them up

The outer perimeter was finished with color matching wire-on, with chrome ends and corner pieces.
