Hi, I'm new to The Hog Ring and the world of trimming. I currently have a set of Lotus Espirit sun visors in to be retrimmed as part of a interior restoration. I have a Mitsubishi DY-330 walking foot sewing machine, but the visors are too thick to fit under the presser foot! Is there another way i could close them without sewing? I thought about gluing with heat resistant contact adhesive but i think the finish isn't going to look good. Can someone also give me a uk supplier for the thread that is best for this job and what kind of thread? As I said, i'm very new to this and i'm wanting to expand my business. I'm also struggling with finding a training course that's close to where I live. Thank you :)

I think they are sewn as a pocket 1st (3 sides) then inserted and hand sewn on the hinge end . you can get thread from segal , martrim , boyriven , William marstons , woolies , AS trim or MBS ………… ive recently done 3 Esprits
