So I ordered a new BeA long nose gun after the feature article and giveaway a couple weeks back. The extra length in the nose is great for reaching in tricky areas but the problem that I am having is misfires. Sometimes I have to fire the gun 4 to 5 times for a staple to come out which is very frustrating. It appears that the ram that pushes the staples out of the gun doesn't fully retract to load the next staple. I have oiled the gun as normal and also put oil on the ram but this only helps for a couple minutes. I have adjusted air pressure to no avail. Any suggestions from anyone on the forum?

This could be an air pressure issue. You should not overpower the stapler, but use the maximum allowable air pressure for the devise. Look at your pressure gauge when the trigger is pulled to see if you have the correct setting. Hose size and length ca affect the performance output of the tool.

If you still encounter issues, there may be a physical problem with the tool and it may need to be serviced. You said it was new, but new tools may not always be assembled correctly and can have damages components from the assembly process..

When I tested the gun I first tried off brand staples and the gun misfired several times. It was only after I used BeA brand staples that the gun shot perfectly every time. In fact I switched to BeA brand staples for my other brand guns and have noticed no misfires as well. Try using BeA brand staples and see if that helps you. Otherwise you should contact BeA to see about a replacement.

Thanks for the input, I have been using recommended air pressure and stainless BeA Staples, so it might be time to contact BeA.
