I’ve had this Pfaff 1245 for 10 years now. After seeing Cechaflo and others using a non-welt foot I bought one off eBay because the seller said it would fit a 1245. It attaches to the machine fine but the outer foot doesn’t touch the needle plate and both feet contact each other. I tried to make adjustments but nothing seems to work out.

Now I put my old welt feet on and the machine is making clicking noises from inside that I’ve never heard before.

    Anyone have any insight?

Did you ever get this problem resolved? I tend not to visit this site very often, was just browsing through this morning and saw your post.

I've had to grind and alter some chinese feet.

I was able to adjust the machine, Mac. I sews just fine now with the old welt foot and makes no noise. The foot I bought is like an 1/8” shorter than the original. Weird

    Good deal Buddy,
I hate some of those "aftermarket" feet.

Singer welt feet are close to phaff. Don't buy any parts from Sharp sewing. They sell feet from China. Make sure you know where there parts are made. China feet will cut thread when you sew or when you finish sewing and pull the fabric away the thread will break because they don't clean the sharp edge off the hole for the needle to pass through. Italy make good parts.
