Hello, I've been working on a 1973 Plymouth Duster. The front seats need new latches in them because the ones in them are seized up. I have found a few websites that just have the hook that goes on the bottom part of the seat. I need that and the piece that goes in the back of the seat however I have had no luck finding one. Anyone know a place that would have one?

Try using Evapo-Rust on the parts. They sell a gel type now that works great on hinges and surfaces that cannot be soaked.

    Not endorsing this...

But my father, who is a veteran trimmer for 40+ years, says he used to soak rusted nuts, bolts and other metal parts in Coca-Cola overnight. Apparently it eats away the rust. (ugh, imagine what it does to your intestines!)

Found this short tutorial online: https://goo.gl/NbgxNE

EvapoRust will not harm the metal. If it is already compromised it will clean it up.

Yes Coca Cola works wonders, I’ve used it to clean rust off cast iron cookware to refurbish them
