Seeking help with unstable fabric movement

    Working with a lightweight woven fabric that moves/unstable and looking for help on techniques/products to help stabilize. I have tried pellon lightweight iron-on product on a sample but it doesn't stay adhered with movement. Any help is appreciated!

    I have been backing materials like that with muslin or a cotton duct. I have switched to 3m super 77 spray as they reformulated the mixture. I hate it but it works well for backing as you can lay the pattern out square and adjust it without causing large pulls. It stays tackey for a while. When it's all together a steamer will break the adhesion of the glue and let you make adjustments if needed. I only apply the glue to the backing.
