    Hello!

Long term reader, first time post.

Trying to get vinyl to adhear to a plastic door panel. Reading through the forum, I know where I went wrong.

Been prepping the plastic parts by cleaning with laqquer thinner, sanding with 80 grit sandpaper, cleaning again with laqquer thinner, adheasion promoter, and using DAP Weldwood landau adheasive at 100% coverage on both parts.

Found out I needed to use an "felt underliner" fabric. Have been searching for the felt underliner fabric, but have come up with nothing.

What type of felt underliner fabric do I need to get and what suppliers carry it?

I acquired the underliner material from my local supplier (Fabric Supply). It is a product they called "Iron Cloth" because it cannot be torn, it needs to be cut with scissors or a knife. It bonds well to the plastic and stays in place. Vinyl can then be glued to the fabric surface without fear of it lifting or pealing.

It was a special purchase and only cost $1.50 a yard. i bought 2 rolls- 72inchs wide by 100 yards.
