These metal clips are out of an early international pick up truck seat. They are wedged in a u-channel holding the seat skin down instead of hog rings or j-clips. I cant seem to find them. Anyone know where I can or what to use instead? thanks!

What you need are the Au-Ve-Co Clip #7578. The fasteners you have pictured look like broken nail panel fasteners.that someone jammed into the seat frame to hold the seat cover onto the frame.1naywipirp57uat0.jpg

Thanks Fred! They were wedged in the "u-channel" of the frame. I am assuming that the correct ones you listed above go around the frame and not wedged into it? Thanks again.

Matt, The part you are looking for is Auveco #7576. Dont know if they are still available, however your request is legitimate, and Fred they are knot broken panel clips. I have installed thousands on older commercial seating and still have a partial box on my shelf.

Hey Matt. I didn't see your specific clip when I quick scanned through my catalog, but page 179 has a clip that could possibly be used .

    Restoration Specialties

This place is an ABSOLUTE MUST for anyone doing auto restoration work. they even have a section for International specific parts that your customer may be interested in. page 54 - 59.

If the customer requires the work to be as authentic as possible then making your own is your best option. If he/she is not concerned about authenticity, then just use pinch weld molding (snap on trim / snap on windlace, what ever you want to call it) Page 114 in the above PDF catalog) Every upholstery supplier has it, one side should tuck into the channel (if your vinyl isn't too thick anyway.)
