Foam for Motorcycle Seat

    Doing a seat, foam pad and all. I have shaped some regular open cell foam when doing marine seats quite a few times. I dont think it will provide the detail I want for this. I see people talk about closed cell foam. Is that what is best to use? I only see closed cell from my supplier in 1/4 inch or 1/2 inch thick.

    I have used an extra firm 2" HD60 foam from midwest, shapes really well. I have also used 2" tough luxury firm foam, but as far as shaping goes I'd choose the HD60. I have done layers with a 1" High Resilient medium firm with a softer layer a top to give it a cushy feel but still has that firm bottom for a good base.
