What do you guys think about the feasibility of concept cars that have no tie-downs in the seats?

How would this work if it was to go into production? My guess is a lot of spray adhesive aerosols where a slight concave in the foam would need it...

Seats like that have been in production for quite a while. Automotive examples include 1995 Ford Mustang, BMW Z3, Mini Cooper etc.

Common in Ambulance seating to eliminate seams and also used for some marine seating.

Production of these seats utilizes adhesive and vacuum forming.

Generally a nightmare in many cases for trimmers when it comes to repairs since the foam base can be damaged when removing the upholstery or you need to construct a conventional hold down system to ensure that your cover stays put and achieve a good appearance.
