I was asked to do a headliner and with a headliner I have no problem but this headliner I was asked to do the material is woven and isn't foam backed. I know if I do the headliner like normal it will ruin the material. I'm thinking of spraying the glue on and let it cure or set, then place the material on and steam the material to activate the glue. Will that work or is there another way?
I've done many like this, some cases people want custom headliner vs stock material. If you trying to use vinyl or leather the best way to go about it is to glue 1/4" sew foam to the headliner board then spray landau top glue to the foam and back of material, let it dry then use your steamer to activate.
