GMC Sierra door panel

    Hello, I’m trying to recover in vinyl 2 GMC Sierra door panels. I sanded down and cleaned with acetone and proceeded to apply landau glue to both panel and vinyl piece. For some reason the glue is not sticking to the door panel side. What can I do to fix this and make the glue to stick to the door?

    Vinyl will adhere better to the panel if you first apply a felt under liner. The cloth will bond to the plastic and the vinyl will bond to the fabric. Use Weldwood landau adhesive to glue it all together.

    I like elmers glue . It takes a while to dry .works great
