I need to adhere perforated vinyl onto some door panel inserts that are plastic. I have tried a couple methods. But am seeking advice. The adhesive comes through the holes. I have blue painters taped thr face of vinyl and brushed lightly. And also using low fan pattern sprayrd the adhesive and in the end the adhesive glimmers im the holes and some holes it comes through. The vinyl im using is an s2000 perforation

We found the best way is to use a black pigment in your contact adhesive before spraying we usually use the pigment that we use for fiberglass resin depends on what glue you are using ,also a powder dye in your contact adhesive could work and spray on very lightly on the vynil

that sounds like a good trick, i like that. Thank you for that. I did experiment some and found that low pressure from a spray gun at a distance of about 1.5-2 feet away has been working but definitely intrested in that trick you suggested. I assume i can use what ever color i want with the idea that the perf holes would "match" close to the vinyl color.

Also is the adhesive strength compromised at all by this?
