    Hi
A customer dropped off his classic 1970s Moto Morini motorbike seat. He has said the seat foam feels too soft. I have had a look tonight. Foam seems really good for its age. Two questions

    1. What is the best foam grades to use if remaking the seat foam
    2. What other options have worked well for comfort which don't replace the foam. Was thinking about strong the existing foam then applying an inch layer of blue foam to provide a bit more cushion or inserting a gel pad

i got a seat foam kit from ebay awhile ago. its meant for racing bikes. it's pretty much expanding foam. you mix the 2 parts together then it expands and you can shave it down afterwards.

personally i found it quite hard, but everyone is different

Hey! my experience of getting a wooden taste in the butt is that you sit on a downhill slope .. cut the cushion so they sit at 90 degrees solves most of the problems .. If you want to add a little extra, add a gel cushion to the padding. no idea if it works but have not had a customer in ten years who complained about the seating comfort
