I found a Feb 17th 2014 article which refers to Brent Parkers patterning guide.

"For or a more detailed explanation of how Brent makes his patterns, check out the following tutorial he published in The Hog Ring’s Auto Upholstery Forum: “How to Build a Seat from Scratch.”

But the link is broken. I have been admiring the quality of his work and would love to learn in a little more detail how he patterns out. Does anyone have the article per chance?

    Thank you.

Thank you Nadeem. Much to learn but this is a step in the right direction! I’m just starting out and so far have been patterning from existing seat covers but whilst they have been in good condition to pattern from, I’m sure Brent’s method is more professional and possibly more time efficient. I have so far been backing vinyl with scrim but interesting to see he adds it to the seat foam instead. Unless pleating of course. Thanks again, appreciate the link.
