Hi all! A customer sent me this picture, and told me they want door panels similar to these.

I haven't done any like this before. I imagine I just layer 2 pieces of foam and glue/heat form the vinyl over it. Does that sound right?

Do you guys use a special kind of foam ?

    Thanks for any advice!

    Closed cell foam.

I think you make a wooden shape for most of it and use close cell foam over the wood to soften it.

Awesome thanks for the advice! I'll post a pic of how it turns out :)

Well what you have in that picture is a metal panel that screws in that’s black and they have made a insert inside the raised groove in the metal. You should use a piece of 1/8 abs cut inside to fit the raised groove and wrap I wouldn’t use anything thick or won’t look right when door was opened

Sorry I'm slow to answer, thanks Clinton that's a good point on keeping it thin. My customer supplied the metal insert, so it should be a straightforward job! Appreciate everyone's advice!
