2004 VW Beetle Sunroof after headliner

    So I may never do another VW headliner again. Got it done and back in finally. The sunroof will not work at all now. It doesn't even try, so I don't think its the pinch protection. I can manually open and close no problem also. All we did was unplug the switch to remove the headliner. I checked all the fuses, disconnected the battery hoping for a reset, nothing. Before I order a switch anyone have experience?

    Do you have a shop near you with a VAG-COM ? Probably not a switch if it was working.

    Just did a Jetta and was the worst headliner i've ever done. First and last on that VW talk. what a pain

    Customer didnt want this sunroof board replaced thank god.

    That is what I was wondering Robert Webb, thought maybe something needed reset with the ECM.

    Adam Gabriel ,you are so right about the Jetta. I make the customer take out the panel on certain cars Audi,BMW ,VW , or send them to a body shop for removal. I tell them I am an upholsterer not a "'technician", bring me the shell and I will upholster it..
