    I have the opportunity to get one of these in working order for very cheap. Is this something even worth getting? I know it’s used a lot in the garment business. What would be possible applications for the auto world?

    OEM's use overlock machines to attach foam to leather on the parts that the foam is not boded to the leather. If this machine is heavy enough to sew leather it would useful.
