Hi guys, we have a very gorgeous 1931 Alfa Romeo 6c 1750 project. There isnt much about the interior, it is pretty straight forward. However, we have very little, to no information about the convertible top. As you can imagine, we have scoured the internet with whatever information/pictures we can get. There were basically just a few coach builders that built the car and they all have different versions. We have a pretty good idea of what we are going to do with the one we have. As one very wise man told us, whatever you decide to do is the correct thing to do. There isn't anyone that can tell us it is wrong because there isnt any pictures that can prove us wrong. The owner absolutely agree, and he in fact said: "it isnt like i will be driving it with the top up."
All that being said, we are still open for ideas. Mainly, has anyone done this specific car before, or know of anyone who has one? We would like to see more close up pictures of mounting points and so on and so forth. Any leads and or pictures is greatly appreciated.
Also, Haartz Corporation has a "Vintage Restorer's Guide" on their website. It doesn't have information for this particular make and model, but it does provide a way to contact Eric Haartz, who may be able to point you in the right direction.
