I use a bandsaw as well. I actually use a wood blade in it. @Chris Viningwhat blade Doyle use? Wasn’t sure if a metal finner tooth blade would work better. I just used what the saw had in it.

Pro tip: Albright's Supply offers trimmers free foam cutting, so long as you order from them. Click here for details. It's great for cushions, especially if you're doing a lot. (Obviously, not great for custom seat design -- as that can only be done by hand)

The band saw works fine. Especially if you attach a movable cutting table. Of course you need the appropriate space (which I unfortunately don't have missing). The band saw is especially unbeatable for thicker foam materials due to the precision. It has disadvantages when forming cushions (motorcycle seats or similar). The foam saws and grinding machines have the advantage again. I have 2 Bosch saws (31.5" and a 12" blade and belt grinder with a width of 0.4" and 0.8"). I get along very well with that... But 3-5 times a year I would like to have a band saw.

My bandsaw is just a smaller bench top type. I think it’s opening is on 6” tall and I forget the width it’ll just . 12-15” maybe. It has it limitations for sure. But the table does tilt to 45 degrees. That sometimes comes in handy.

I turned my foam saw to a bandsaw. I just drilled four holes tho the base plate that comes with the saw. Then attach that to a table. Works great with long cuts. Others have a little different set up.c5qvuw4cbbfdfugh.jpg
