I have used that style glue pot before. They work pretty good. The problem is that the glue will dry out fairly quick, and they are hard to clean. I don't brush glue on very often, maybe once every other week so they don't make sense for me. I normally just use an old glass pickle jar, when the glue hardens in the jar I just pitch it and grab a new one.

I already use a bas type pot(got lucky on ebay and picked 4 or 5 up for £8 each) good on bigger stuff but I've been doing fiddly stuff the last few days and thought it could be useful with the smaller acid brushes.Might take a punt on one after all they're only a tenner on ebay.

    I've used these for years.
Nice for doing the suspended type headliners.that need to be glued to the body around the perimeter.

    I thought I'd update this.
I bought one of the smaller sized pots and use with a small(1/4 inch) brush. It work really well that I don't often use my oil can type anymore, great for small amounts of glue, I use it for headliners, smaller wrapping jobs and many other work.
The problems with the oil can type is the brush goes hard so needs to be kept in a pot of thinners so needs to be cleaned before use, brush goes hard and gummy when being used if left for a short while, also drips quite a bit. The pot type you can use pop the top on and off as you need. Also I found it blocks up quite easy.
Problems with the pot type are, don't fill too much as heat will push the glue out of the neck.Brush goes gummy but can be wiped off easily. If the glue gets a bit thick top it up and it will thin out, if not its fairly easy to pull the solid glue out and start again.
For the price of the pot type its certainly worth having.
