I have ordered and installed 2 off Amazon. Each servo was about $125 with shipping. One was for a Juki, and other for a Consew. Amazing difference and definite improvement.

Nothing you can do as a newbie to this machine will replace a professional technician servicing and adjusting it. I have to drive about 3 hours to visit my guy, and it's worth every penny he charges, and the time required to drop it off and pick up. Ask around or ask your upholstery supplier who can help with this. Once your Juki is set up correctly, it will provide many hours of great stitching! Good Luck

I bought the $20 Harbor Freight hot knife for sunbrella and it works great for the money. Like you, it's the occassional use, not everyday. I also used it for marine carpet so it would cut and seal the edges. Worked perfectly.

One thing I recommend to help prevent fraudulent charges is to set notifications on your cards, credit and debit, at each institution so you will be notified of EACH charge. With the use of the smart phone, we can now stay on top of each and every charge to our cards. Also, I use PayPal whenever possible. I do NOT use debit for online purchases, ever!
